Turning Games into Inquiry
Description:
In this lesson, teachers learn how to transform simple gameplay into meaningful inquiry experiences. Instead of stopping at “playing,” participants explore how to extend thinking before, during, and after the game through purposeful questioning and discussion.
Through guided examples from previous modules, teachers will see how the same game can lead to very different levels of learning depending on how it is facilitated.
Objectives:
- Use questioning strategies before, during, and after gameplay
- Extend student thinking beyond correct/incorrect answers
- Facilitate discussions that deepen understanding
